National Safety Award by Directorate General, Factory Advice Service & Labour Institute (DGFASLI)
General Motors India - Halol, has been declared winner of the prestigious National Safety Award in automobile industry by Directorate General, Factory Advice Service & Labour Institute (DGFASLI), India's Premier Institution for Safety under the Aegis of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India.
GM India bags the Prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2008 GENERAL Motors India has won the second prize in the Automobile Manufacturing Sector at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2008 for energy conservation at its Halol facility in Gujarat. The Award was conferred by the Union Minister for Power, Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde at a function in New Delhi.
JD Power Award for quality in 2008 GENERAL Motors India two compact cars-Chevrolet Spark and the Aveo U-VA have won the top awards for quality in the India Automotive Initial Quality Study announced by J.D Power Asia Pacific 2008.
The Chevrolet Spark was ranked first and won the top award in the vast and fiercely competitive Compact Car Segment, with a score of 148 PP100. This is the second year in a row that the Spark has bagged this prestigious award. Similarly, the Aveo U-VA won the award for the best car in the Premium Compact Segment, with a score of 102 PP100, in the face of equally stiff competition. The Chevrolet Tavera has also been ranked at Second in the MUV/MPV Segment.
